OUR EXPERTISE
Every scope below is performed by Shotcrete Unlimited Hawaii on Oahu, with select outer-island projects considered.

01 — Shotcrete & Structural
Structural shotcrete and mitigation work
- Structural shotcrete walls and retaining structures
- Sculpted and textured shotcrete finishes for rockscape and aesthetic applications
- Shotcrete application for flood mitigation, rockfall, and rockslide mitigation projects
- Gunite removal and replacement
- What it involves
- Pneumatically placed concrete applied over engineered steel reinforcement, built up in controlled layers and finished to the specified profile.
- Typical applications
- Slope stabilization, retaining structures, channel and drainage work, rock face treatment, and repairs to existing gunite.
- Why professional placement matters
- Shotcrete quality depends on nozzle technique, layer thickness, consolidation, and steel placement. Poor placement traps voids behind the bar, which is where structural failures start.

02 — Pool Construction & Remodeling
Pool builds, remodels, and shotcrete shells
- Complete pool builds
- Pool remodels
- Pool demolition
- Pool rough-in
- Pool steel
- Pool plumbing
- Full shotcrete pool shells
- What it involves
- Excavation layout, rough plumbing, steel cage assembly, and a monolithic shotcrete shell shaped to the design profile.
- Typical applications
- New residential and commercial pools, shell replacement on aging pools, reshaping and modernizing existing pools.
- Why professional placement matters
- A pool shell is a structural water-retaining vessel. Steel cover, shell thickness, and plumbing that is correct before shotcrete determine whether the pool holds up over decades.

03 — Concrete, Rockscapes & Waterscapes
Custom concrete, hardscape, rockscapes, waterscapes, retention walls
- Custom concrete remodeling
- Custom hardscape work
- Rockscapes
- Waterscapes
- Retention walls
- What it involves
- Formed and sculpted concrete work, from flatwork and hardscape to carved and textured rockwork and integrated water features.
- Typical applications
- Decks, walkways, planters and site walls, waterfalls and grottos, naturalistic rock edges around pools and landscape features.
- Why professional placement matters
- Sculpted work still has to be structural. Carving and texturing is done in a working window, so sequencing and crew experience decide whether the finish reads natural or artificial.
